ATF 50S - silicone variant of a single-profile facade
In office, hotel, commercial, and public projects, the facade increasingly serves multiple functions simultaneously. It is meant to open interiors to natural light, reduce energy loss, protect against weather conditions, and define the character of the entire project. An aluminum-glass facade cannot be a random component of a building. It should support user comfort, the aesthetics of the facade, and facilitate the achievement of the parameters required by the design. The ATF 50S system meets these needs; from the outside, we get a flat, clean glass surface with an aesthetic silicone sealant. From a technical standpoint, we get a system designed for constructing lightweight curtain walls, roofs, and skylights. At the heart of the solution is single-profile mullion-to-mullion technology. In practice, this means a load-bearing structure designed for highly efficient material utilization. The ATF 50S uses profiles with an inward-recessed mounting socket for the glazing, just as in the standard ATF 50 variant. This solution enhances thermal performance and allows for a modern, visually lightweight façade.
Clean glass surface and slim silicone joint
One of the most important features of the ATF 50S silicone facade is glazing without the use of external glazing beads. Thanks to a special system for attaching the glass to the profiles, the exterior side of the facade remains completely flat. The gaps between the glass panels are filled with a special silicone sealant, which ensures the system’s high airtightness. The 22 mm wide silicone joint is a detail that significantly influences the overall appearance of the facade. The slim, repetitive line organizes the rhythm of the facade, highlights the building’s geometry, and enhances the impression of lightness. The ATF 50S also allows for the creation of vertical or horizontal lines, making it easier to adapt the system to the architectural design of the project.

Glazing, infills, and design options
The ATF 50S was designed with a high degree of flexibility in glazing in mind. The width of the mullion and transom profiles is 50 mm. The depth range of the mullion profiles is from 30 to 330 mm, and that of the transom profiles is from 30 to 230 mm. The system allows for glazing up to 64 mm and the use of infills weighing up to 700 kg. ESG, VSG, TVG, and Float glass can be used. In the ATF 50S, the mullion is flush with the transom and the gaskets on the inside. Internally flush gaskets are also available as standard. This is important not only for visual reasons but also for functional ones. An aesthetic interior finish is important in buildings where the facade is constantly visible from the inside as well, such as in lobbies, atria, office buildings, or public buildings. The system allows for the use of tilt-and-turn or parallel-sliding windows that open independently. It can also be combined with all Aluron systems, which facilitates the design of a complete aluminum window and door system within a single project.

A flat exterior surface, a slim silicone joint, the ability to design varied shapes, high airtightness, and excellent thermal performance create a system that meets the real needs of contemporary architecture.
